Pattern Grid
Editing notes, fields, selections, and dragged content in the main pattern view.
The pattern grid is the main high-level composition view. Notes and related event data are placed, edited, copied, moved, and deleted here.
Editable fields
The pattern grid can show and edit different note fields. The default field is note pitch, but the edit mode can also be changed to velocity, delay, or instrument number.
Press Ctrl/Cmd + Left or Ctrl/Cmd + Right to change the current edit mode. The indicator to the right of the transport bar shows which note field is currently visible and editable.
Keyboard drag
Hold Alt/Option + Shift to enter drag mode. Drag mode picks up all content inside the current cursor bounds.
While dragging, use the arrow keys to move the selected content around the grid. Release the modifier keys to drop the content at the current position.
To place the content without leaving drag mode, press Select while dragging. The content is written to the grid, and the cursor remains in drag mode.
Common edit commands

| Cut | Remove the selected content and place it on the clipboard. |
| Copy | Copy the selected content without changing the grid. |
| Paste | Write clipboard content at the current cursor position. |
| Delete | Clear the selected content. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + Up or Down | Jump up or down by one pattern. |
