Sampler Instruments
Sample playback modes, slicing, onset detection, and looping.
Sampler instruments load audio samples and trigger them from the pattern or track grid.
Playback modes
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Forward | Plays the sample forward. |
| Reverse | Plays the sample backward. |
| Ping-pong | Alternates playback direction. |
| Slice | Triggers individual slices from a sliced sample. |
Slice mode
Slice mode lets loops be divided into separate regions and triggered one slice at a time.
Samples can be split into fixed-width sections: 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 slices.
Auto mode uses spectral onset detection to find transients and place slice markers automatically. The onset sensitivity can be adjusted to increase or decrease the number of detected transients.
Looping
Samples can be looped. This allows short loops and single-cycle waveforms to be used as oscillator sources.
